Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-13 · Draft — pending counsel review.
These Terms govern access to and use of software provided by Metaverse Trading Ltd ("we", "us"). This is a working draft and will be replaced with the counsel-reviewed version before production launch. Until then, use this text as guidance only.
1. Nature of the service
METAVERSE TRADING LTD ("the Company", "we", "us") is a software vendor registered in England and Wales under company number 16644748, with its registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. We do not hold fiat or cryptocurrency on behalf of users or merchants, do not exchange currencies, and do not provide financial advice. Fiat-to-crypto conversion is performed by licensed on-ramp partners; cryptocurrency self-custody is the end-user's responsibility.
2. Acceptable use
- You will not use our products to launder funds, evade sanctions, or finance terrorism.
- You will not target end-users in jurisdictions where the product is not lawful.
- You will not redistribute our SDKs or APIs in a way that disables our security controls (HMAC verification, sanctions screening, time-locks).
3. Merchant responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for KYC/AML of their end-users, for ledger-side reconciliation of webhook events, and for complying with the laws of the jurisdictions in which they operate. We provide tools (audit log, OFAC screening, threshold alerts) but the regulatory perimeter is the merchant's.
4. Disclaimers
The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the fees paid to us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
6. Governing law & venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be heard exclusively in the courts of England.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on this page and to the email address on file for affected merchants. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
